It’s a spot where people come not only for the food but for the feeling of being welcomed into a smaller, friendly world that moves a little slower than the main road.

The dishes bring forward familiar flavors with a balance of homestyle comfort and little surprises — the crispy edges of churros, the comforting spice of birria, or the playful coolness of fried ice cream to wrap up a meal. These are experiences more than just offerings; moments punctuated by gentle smiles from bilingual waitstaff who seem to know their regulars by name and new visitors by their curiosity.
Mi Sombrero honors the spirit of a neighborhood gathering place where the food is a conversation starter and the setting encourages pauses and people-watching alike. It’s the kind of locale you might stumble upon during a road trip or after a day’s work, and find yourself returning to for no other reason than the understated joy of sharing a meal that feels quietly familiar yet infused with a distinct local pulse.

Nice little Mexican dive off the main drag. We stopped while traveling through town and really enjoyed it. Lots to choose from and the prices were really cheap.

Service was great, People really freindly, quality of food great too. But the only thing was they were out of guacamole when we were there. And that they are only open certin days. That's why the 4 stars. (Update on Mi Sombrero. ). I just went back 3 weeks ago to give them a try again. Maybe they would get a better rating from me. Well they are not better. In fact they have gone down. The standards are not high nor the food quality, and service was below the levels that they need to be at. We went and sat down at the table , It was wobbly and so we moved to another table. The hostess told the waitress so we had to wait for her to ask our drinks preference. And we also ordered the chunky guacamole, which is wonderful. We got salsa and Guac quickly and then ordered. We waited around 30 minutes and she finally came back and asked us if we wanted more salsa and chips. We almost finished our Guacamole and the food was nowhere in site. They finally bring food out and forget half of it . And my plate looked off as I couldn't find my meat , only the 4 piece of shrimp. Then after digging around 8 finally found it it was a total of 5 piece's of chicken strips and steak strips. This isn't what Texas fajitas look like. My plate didn't even sizzle. It looked like everything was stewed and thrown on to the plate. As you can see in the picture. Then also we were into our meal 1 hr 20 mins and still no tortillas and our beans and rice. I called the waitress over tell her that I don't want this as it wasn't what I asked for and what was in the picture. They asked if I wanted something else but we said no. So I shared my husbands plate and ate the rest of our Guac. Also only 1 drink refills in 1 hr and 35 mins. Now they finally bring out the beans and rice and we were already done. I asked for a drink to go and waitress never returned. Now I understand if they were super busy , but they had at least 15 tables empty. And the mgr should of fixed my order or even deducted something from my order other than the fajitas as they took off because I didn't eat them. But I stilled paid over $50 for tacos , sand Guacamole and 2 drinks. I will not come back. I think in 2 yrs they have gone down in standards. So I would rather pay for a company that treats you well and fixes their mistakes.

My first time here, the food was great. Last night was my 2nd time, and the food was decent. My steak nachos were pretty good, and my husband's quesadilla el la plancha was great. The taco salad and burrito A was bland.

Very nice, clean and inviting! I got the Tex Mex Fajitas and it was brought hot and sizzeling. The tequila sunrise was made with just the right amount of tequila to enjoy with my lunch. Our waitress was bilingual and very patient. There are only 2 bathrooms which was fine, but to wait for a bit.

The food has been really fresh and flavorful. The Sweet tea has been hit and miss unfortunately. Don't know why it tastes different each time I order it but last time I asked to have it replaced with soda.

One of the best chicken wet burritos I have ever had. Their beans and rice have good flavor as well. I cleaned my plate! We will be back. It's our kids favorite Mexican place in town.
